The Role

We are looking for a Product Operations Manager to support our Company’s product development teams. You will make an immediate impact through your expertise in executing complex, cross-functional product operations to enable core technologies and functionality critical to our business. You will be responsible for crafting, implementing and executing processes to streamline workflows and reduce friction. You will manage our Dogfood, Alpha, Beta, and General Audience releases including managing waitlists, communicating with users, consolidating feedback and bugs, and driving value by identifying customer pain points and suggesting solutions. You will be at the forefront of launching new and innovative privacy and security features for Cape. This role reports to our Head of Consumer Growth.


Here are some ways you’ll make an impact

  • Coordinate product launches, manage user feedback and tested groups and present findings and recommendations to product and engineering teams on new features, critical bugs, and prioritization

  • Build and maintain critical systems, including 3rd party software, that automate our product operations, including handling of customer inquiries

  • Manage operational cadence for the Product organization, working closely with leaders to create effective work processes

  • Seek out and identify change management opportunities that increase program velocity and which affect multiple teams

  • Improve the product offering and progress towards key KPIs by identifying key insights based on your learnings from your interaction with users and understanding of the product to drive innovation in privacy and security features that matter

  • Oversee end-to-end activities for product development initiatives, ensuring clear goals, timelines, and deliverables are defined. Navigate competing product and technical priorities to meet delivery timelines. Experience identifying options and trade-offs and achieving consensus at all levels for the recommended approach

  • Define/manage a program portfolio solving problems that target high business impact for the organization and product area across business units and cross-functional teams

You have:

  • Track record of successfully working as an adaptable team player in a very cross-functional, fast-paced environment and leading complex strategic initiatives

  • Business Acumen: Ability to interpret and act on prioritization based on business objectives and identify missed opportunities to drive impact

  • Flexibility / adaptability: adjusts quickly to changing priorities, conditions, and challenges. Copes effectively with complexity and change. Is comfortable navigating ambiguity. Can handle business changes with ease and with a lack of frustration or feeling of defeat. Feels comfortable dealing with limited unknowns in an area they are well versed in

  • Data Driven/Analytic Reasoning: The ability to interpret information to make business decisions and recommendations. Uses a data-centric approach to allocate resources and meet KPIs

  • Leadership and Navigation: ability to consult with, persuade, and influence key stakeholders and contribute to initiatives and processes in their org; cultivates, builds and maintains good relationships with cross-functional peers and leaders

  • Experience in Agile methodologies and other project management frameworks, including managing execution, backlogs, end-to-end program plans and with Agile Software, lean methodology, and JIRA

  • Experience working with product engineering teams and security to build and deliver end-to-end customer-focused products with technical knowledge of the underlying platforms

  • Experience with managing product launch processes across cross-functional teams.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience

  • 3 years of experience in program management, product operations, or equivalent field

  • Prior experience supporting customer service and/or operations

  • Prior experience supporting consumer products

  • Prior experience in a startup environment
