Senior Operations Manager

The Senior Operations Manager will build operational and supply chain processes to increase the maturity of our Operations Organization. They will also be direct contributor to the production planning team as we work towards mass producing commercial microreactor units later this decade. This work includes the selection of our production site, the layout of our production facilities, managing the design and construction timeline, regulatory support, and risk management. The ideal candidate for this role isn’t looking for a blueprint to follow. Instead, they are able to turn challenging problems into actionable priorities and can consistently move project work forward in an ambiguous setting.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Analyzing production options (sites, production flows, construction options, etc.) and sharing recommended paths forward with senior leadership.
  • Developing requirement lists for the production facility and utilizing both internal and external resources to meet or exceed the stated requirements.
  • Translating regulatory requirements into actionable work plans to meet desired goals and timelines related to the future production facility.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years experience in construction, manufacturing, or distribution operations settings.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and manufacturing principles, best practices, and industry trends.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for informed decision-making.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings.
  • Expert in managing architects and general contractors from conceptual design through pre-construction activities.
  • Proven experience in managing long-term projects and budgets.
  • Experience in gathering input and alignment from senior level stakeholders on high impact projects.
