As a Senior Product Designer at Rise8, you will:
- Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers.
- Lead product design from research through implementation - you want to help the team succeed more than making a nice sketch file
- Maintain a user-centered approach while respecting business needs
- Actively seek opportunities for personal and team growth.
Qualifications
- Must have an Active US Secret or TS/SCI Security Clearance.
- 6-10 years experience in product design, UX, or related field.
- Bring deep experience in at least one of the three facets of design: user research, interaction design or visual design.
- Deep understanding in designing applications, from consumer facing applications to internal tools.
- Ability to work and be effective in agile design, rather than waterfall methodology.
- Experience and curiosity within agile and lean philosophies.
- Experience working independently with clients or stakeholders in a consulting role.
- Knowledge of modern front-end systems and open source frameworks (iOS, Android, Bootstrap, responsive patterns, etc.)
- Ability to travel up to 30%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have experience enabling clients in user-centered design best practices.
- Experienced in user research methodologies and can educate others.
- Interest in giving talks on design to clients and internally.
- Able to help the development team with css.
- Active member of the design community.
- Strong facilitation skills.
- Experience with DoD, especially at a DoD "Software Factory".
Salary
The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $133,358.00 - $200,037.00 regardless of final candidate location within the United States. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
